Arthur C Clarke Award short profiles: Steven Hall 10/03/2008 . Source: Jessica Martin
The Raw Shark Texts is Steven Hall's first work and was published in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. Buy The Raw Shark Texts in the USA - or Buy The Raw Shark Texts in the UK Blueprint Pictures are currently working to get a Raw Shark movie off the ground.
In the The Raw Shark Texts, the novel's hero, Eric Sanderson, wakes up with no memory and discovers that virtual mutant fish are consuming his memories while he is left wandering an undergound complex composed of old telephone directories trying to work out what the fick is happening to him.
Think Pan's Labyrinth with the cast from a Carry On movie, or PK Dick trying to write a sharecropped Douglas Adams novel.
