Sci-Fi Channel: Champions of Good, or Hell-pit of Evil?
01/07/2000 Source: Jessica Martin

The Galactic Senate: polls & voting for July 2000.

Nothing gladdens our heart more than to see democracy in action in the science fiction and fantasy world. If you feel the same, dear user, then here's our current and past online polls, as voted for by many a fine fellow (you too can vote, but choose wisely)...

Sci-Fi Channel: Champions of Good, or Hell-pit of Evil?

Sci-Fi Channel. Love them or hate them, these guys just won't go away. Why, compared to them, the SFcrowsnest is just a pimple on the nose of the genre. They are truly massive. Heck, their expense salaries alone could fund the deficit of a stuggling asteroid colony or drop an American flag on Mars (along with a team of cheerleaders to dance around it).

But are they a force for good or evil on the genre? Vote now ...

Good. Surely these people uplift the whole SF and fantasy genre with their magic offerings that bring unbound joy and light into TV screens around the world. Look at Farscape - proving SF can be both intelligent and action oriented, or the new Dune mini-series, resurrecting Herbert's complex and riveting world.

Evil. How many Wonder Women repeats can a fellow stand? If I see one more Bionic Man Day, or Time Tunnel Weekend scheduled in, I'll upchuck. Where's the documentaries, the book reviews, the talking head programmes, the artist interviews? Shut the doors, the space barbarians are at the gate.
