Back in the 1970s Charlton Heston was the original groover and mover of the science fiction movies.

There was the post-plague New York of The Omega Man.

Who could forget poor old military scientist Chuck sitting alone in a cinema, watching faded cuts of Woodstock, before he has to fight his way past hordes of albino vampires to get home to his fortress-like apartment block.

His tormentors? The product of a germ warfare plague which he had discovered - just too late - the cure for. The last man on Earth must die for his crimes in the name of science.

Then there was the Greenhouse hell of author Harry Harrison's Solyent Green (the book was called Make Room, Make Room).

This was the precursor to the Greenpeace movement. An overpopulated over-heated earth where the ecosystem had broken down and mankind was sliding slowly back into barbarism.

Detective Chuck was on his last case - the murder of one of the corporate lords who controlled the remains of the USA. Whatever you do, don't eat the food!

Last but not least there was the haunting Planet of the Apes. What did those crazy bastards do to the Statue of Liberty?

So here, Crowsnest fans, is the ultimate worship site for Chuck's sci-fi masterpieces.
