The Art Of X-Men: The Last Stand: From Concept To Feature Film 01/08/2006 . Source: Geoff Willmetts

Let's tell a little story. A query to Titan Books about six weeks asking if they were doing a behind the scenes book of the third X-Men film, I discovered it had missed the catalogue. Then, when it became available, only sufficient copies for shops who ordered it in the UK. None for review.
The chances of coming across a review elsewhere is going to be rare so how else are you going to know about it? Fortunately, our remit is flexible enough that if we get our own copies of anything, me and my reviewers can review if we like. With few knowing about this book, unless you buy it off the bookshelf then your chances of getting a first UK edition at your regular media shop might become tough as the film fans buy their own copies.
So here we are with a book that is actually worth its money. A 50 page section written by Peter Sanderson about the history of the comicbook version of the X-Men and the differences between it and the film incarnation.
The rest of the book is devoted to design and photographs from the sets and behind the sets making this a delightful book to browse and enjoy. It's also one of those rare books that is hard to criticise and I'm sorta familiar with the subject. I still hold the distinction of being the first to suggest in the UK fan press years ago that Mystique was Nightcrawler's mother instead of sister before it came to pass.
If you're going to pick up everything related to the new X-Men film then you should really be ensuring you get your copy now than risk it becoming rarer than mutant hen's teeth. It's the definitive book to have showing the work behind the film.
